Situation
A Philadelphia-based non-profit engaged JANUS to conduct a short term review and assessment of its strengths and challenges in order to make recommendations about its position in its marketplace and potential for further development. The assessment was designed to focus on the organization’s strengths, the efficiency and effectiveness of its current programs and services, and result in the development of an action plan and strategy for further advancement of the group’s mission.

The JANUS Solution
Our assessment resulted in the successful engagement of the group’s leadership, management, and staff in developing and implementing a “Framework for the Future.” This series of recommendations and action steps focused on enhancing agency performance, achieving better client outcomes and community impact, and improving fund and resource development. First step in implementation resulted in the redefining of the organization’s mission, vision and guiding principles and primary target population, an integral foundation on which to build.
